I thought this when I read that the pentagon was drawing up withdrawal plans at the same time that Bush and Cheney were shrieking that withdrawal meant defeat. And rumor has always been that withdrawal would take place in such a way to coincide with the midterm elections, just as deployment did. Are the democrats going to get blindsided again?
