Once again you have seperated the chaff from the wheat. One of the many reasons I always look forward to my visits here at Mahablog. Jesus (by whatever name) did indeed find the divine behind the illusion, as so many others have as well. Though he tried to impart it to his followers, the dogma became dominant, as it almost always does. Those who have ears hear. Thank you so much for a wonderful year of enlightened commentary, and best wishes for many more to come. Peace be with you as you fight the good fight.

Thanks very much for your quietly thoughtful and wonderfully expressed views on Christmas. I couldn't agree with you more, I only wish that more people would could hear your message and not that of Bill O'Reilly.

I second Rubenstein's When Jesus Became God. Well written, and a great telling of an important part of our history, that most people, especially Christians, don't know much about. You'll never hear the Nicene Creed recited the same way again. Rubenstein is interested in conflict resolution, and he chose this particular episode in the history of Christianity because it was the second most important conflict in that religion, the Reformation being the biggest conflict.

Great post, Maha. Expresses my feelings well.

Very good Maha.My Mother-in-law sent us an email "poem" supposedly written by an engineer at Northrop Grumman entitled "you can't steel my Christmas", total WOMBAT.
I will send her your message in return.
I can't understand why some people are so uptight and closed minded, but then I remember the true path.Enlightenment comes from within, you can't buy it, sell it ,or make a gift of it.It just is.
You gotta be here now.......
