P.S. Just saw on dKos that our turncoat Ben "Helmet Head" Nelson is counting his fingers and toes re a filibuster. Called his local office to express my support for Kerry's filibuster. I got voicemail, left a message, and sent Ben an email too. Not much gets thru his thick head, but it was worth a shot.

Tonight I'll email friends in Colorado to work on Ken Salazar.

I wonder what proportion of those calls from the citizenry are against confirmation? I know recent polls seemed to support confirmation, but not by much....

I couldn't get through to DC either, so I called the local offices of both my Senators (Hawai'i). The phone answerers each said their office was swamped.
