We all know what Bush is going to say Tuesday night, and how he'll say it. What's more we know that immediately afterward Karl "turd blossom" Rove will get the propaganda machinery running at full speed to paint a rosy picture for that brain-dead 42 percent of the electorate who eagerly swallow this Fascist filth whole.

There's one way to affect the news coverage of the upcoming Bush/Rove tap dance. And that is when Bush begins his SOTU lies, every Democrat in the chamber should simply get up and walk out. No shouting, no banner waving. Just a silent and dignified protest against Bush's attempt to destroy the founding fathers' conception of balance of power, judicial review, and congressional oversight.

Yes, I know. This will never happen. Bush will blather, and the conventional media's stenographers will just repeat his bullshit as if it isn't bullshit.

And then back to business as usual.

And all this time, I thought you blogged because you're so good at it. And of course, for the money, fame and groupies.

You provide a terrific service to all who visit your site, Maha. Visiting your site, reading your words, and reading the comments posted by your readers is like stepping into a sane environment compared to struggling for solid footing in the crazily spinning orwellian eddies offered by the MSM.

One of my biggest criticisms of the MSM is their carefully worded headlines which intentionally deceive and spin. Example: I remember during the Clinton impeachment, when the fact was uncovered that Illinois Republican Henry Hyde [a prominent player in the impeachment push], himself with a wife, had had a long affair with a married woman, effectively destroying her marriage. From the Springfield, Illinois right-leaning Journal-Register, several pages in, here's the headline that reported the news about Hyde's adultery: DEMOCRATS ADOPT SCORCHED-EARTH POLICY.

What can I say...geez! Thanks for building and maintaining the Mahablog.
