I wonder if McCaffrey picked up his consultation fee on the way out of the White House. He used to be the drug Czar.. a nice little supplement for the meager retirement package for a four star general. And now he's going to be a mouthpiece for the private sector...it's not easy getting these professional gasbags weaned off of the public teat. I hope Condi burped him.

Pelosi has said impeachment is not in the cards.
WHY would she say that?
Surely if Clinton could be impeached for as small a reason as a blow job, one would think a blowjob could be impeached for any number of crimes he has committed while acting as president.

The White House is completely delusional and needs to be removed from power, since it's willing to do anything to maintain the status quo.

Again spoiled georgie puts himself before anything no matter the urgency. It's what is convienent or to show him in glory, ect. and be damned with the little people.
He wants his endless war and will continue to find justification. When daddy's friends tried to make the brat grow up and take responsibility and face the real world, he dug in his heels and jutted out his lower lip. He looked for whatever toady or croney available who would agree with him.

We are not giving Bush & Cheney credit for their unique methodology. To get into the Iraq mess they decided first to invade. After the decision was made, they went to CIA for evidence that would support the decision. And they went after any dissenters in the military, the press & the governement with the affection of a pitt bull.

Now Iraq is a mess. Bush and Company are using the same methodology (since it worked so well). They have decided on the cosmetic changes that they want to use to placate the detractors. They are going to 'experts', to tell them what they want to hear (Cheney writing furiously as they spout the talking points they were coached to say). On to step three; telling the democrats that they MUST sign on to the new plan or be considered traitors.

There is only one thing that can save Bush & Company; that's another 9/11 style attack on American soil with large numbers of casualties. That fact frightens me a LOT more than OBL ever did.

Donna, #6 is a good read...I also get the sense that Bush is beginning to delaminate. Just not fast enough.

Bush is running from pillar to post trying to find an escape from his failure. He needs to be impeached. Once America acknowledges that it was Bush's lies and deceits that created the mess in Iraq it will be easier to accept our eventual defeat in Iraq. I still say we can recover the honor of America if we admit publicly(by impeaching Bush) invading Iraq was a mistake.

Cheney taking notes? What a joke! Gee, what's he scribbling?.."I think the deciders ass is in a bind"

When I read this story this morning, I was in disbelief. It is the single piece of writing I have read within the last year that is least like a newspaper story. It has a totally alien structure and answers the five "W" questions (who, what, when, where, why) in almost prefect reverse order. While "why" is answered in the headline, you have to wait 'til the last graph to get a partial (four of five) answer to "who." It read more like a mystery than a news item. Very, very odd.

You're correct Maha. Tthe ISG report was a lifeline thrown by Baker to the Boy King to allow him to declare victory, pull out of Iraq, and save his pride.

Clearly, he refused to take it. Because that, thousands more people are going to be killed / maimed and their families destroyed.

Heckuva job, Chimpy!
