[...] Toto, I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore. And a lot of those National Guard units aren’t either. Because they are in Iraq. Tony Snow got a little testy when asked about the strength of the Guard in Kansas and offered all variety of truths about the Guard being adequate in the region and how there was so much available privately. Blah, blah, blah. The Democratic Kansas Governor Kathleen Sibelius never made direct requests that were turned down. “If you don’t request it, you’re not going to get it.” Nobody indicated there were any problems. Problems, what problems? [...]

Wouldn’t you rather have our soldiers fighting tornadoes in Iraq, so we don’t have to fight tornadoes here?

Comment by Tom Hilton — May 8, 2007 @ 3:30 pm

The Dems obviously don't. Those hippie tree-huggers probably WANT more tornadoes here to power their wind farms and guarantee ratings for the leftie-biased Weather Channel. And since the tornado is an archetypal phallic symbol, more tornadoes only help promote the gay agenda. It's win-win for those crazy liberals!
