It’s Just the Gypsy in My Soul

Filed under: Bush Administration — maha @ 10:09 pm

Today the odometer on my 1997 Nissan Sentra (purchased new in 1997) finally passed 50,000 miles.

I’m sorry I didn’t post today. I was absolutely swamped doing something else. I’ll try to do better tomorrow.

  1. We understand about you not posting, Maha…

Driving 50,000 miles makes for a pretty busy day…

(Must not have been much traffic…)

  2. And…By the way…

What you been doin’ with that car for the last 10 years?

Bet you’ve had it out front of your house, on blocks and surrounded by a flock of plastic flamingos - tastefully arranged of course…

“Yard Art” we calls it back in the Hills…

  3. My 1995 Subaru has about 69,000 miles (I had to look up the conversion table since we use kilometres). Here’s to not driving a lot and keeping our cars a long time!

  4. I passed on my ‘94 Accord to one of the kids when it hit 200,000 miles. It now has over 350,000 miles on it and still runs like a top.

Drive ‘em ’till the wheels fall off. That’s my motto. :o )

  5. D.R. — Yeah, there was some Yard Art like that back in my old ‘hood. There was usually some fleabit old dog on display, too.

  6. I look forward to the day I won’t have to commute to school and work any more… not commuting is so much better than my rotten life
