I liked his "rock throwing" ad, too.

I might have to vote for him in the primary just because of the ads.

(Our primary is so late, my vote won't make a difference in who the candidate is.)

The add itself: I don't know that Huckabee/Chuck Norris add is really up there. Extra points for intent memes and all.

"Is that how I look to the young people around me?"

Based on the pictures I've seen of you--yeah. But you still write some of the best stuff this side of Digby so don't let it get you down.

Remember Sen. Everett Dirksen singing "Wild Thing"? Now that was one hip cat who really knew how to lay down a tune. More power to Mike Gravel for letting it all hang out for America.

What the hell is wrong with you "gen X"er? Where do you get off projecting your personal world of labeling an older gentleman merely enjoying himself? And where do you get off speaking on behalf of other people? I thouroughly appreciate seeing a "politician" acting human- yes humans don't have to lose a zest for life with age- and not like the dull implicated stereotype that you believe is hitched to "pragmatism".

Baby boomers....when will they grow up and assume the mantle of mature adult leadership? Rebellion is all well and good when you are young, but in a president it's just kooky. I'd like to think that real progressives are ready for the long haul--and the pragmatic toughness that comes with the territory. Younger people respect that kind of character much more than they do aging hippies.
