If you can’t rent a good horror film from Blockbuster Video this evening to send chills up your spine…Maybe you will be able to get a more intense sensation of horror by watching these videos. It’s one thing to hear about the ignorance, racism, and hatred in America..but it’s another thing to see it.

Rednecks for Obama has been around since early 2007! There is an official Rednecks for Obama section in www.barackobama.com, and there are a couple of great websites! (www.rednecksforobama.com) But, Tony Viessman, 74, retired Missouri State Highway Patrol Lieutenant hadn't seen these. He just knew why he, a self-proclaimed "half-redneck", strongly supported Barack Obama. He knew the same old politics of the republican party trying to claim any democrat candidate would "take away your guns". And, he knew the significance of the redneck vote in Missouri. And, he knew how badly this country needs Barack Obama as president. He took action! After the announcement of a town hall meeting with Barack Obama in Rolla Missouri, Tony Viessman had a "Rednecks for Obama" banner made at the local sign shop, found a friend, Les Spencer, 60, to hold an end, and headed for the auditorium. With "Rednecks for Obama" bumper stickers in hand, they greeted hundreds as they entered the auditorium. Further excited by Obama's answers to difficult questions in that hot auditorium, Tony and Les headed to Union Missouri, Obama's next stop. As they held the banner outside the auditorium, the motorcade came to a complete stop. Barack Obama stepped off the bus and ran over to thank Tony and Les, and to hear their story.

And 2 days ago the Votemaster at Electoral-Vote.com switched Missouri from Barely Republican to Barely Democratic. Keep it up, guys! Under the LobsterScope

Reality: ChapterOne – We got a real economic mess here. Secretary Paulson said yesterday institutions WILL fail. Credit is dry as the Sahara even with the prime at 1.5%. Banks don’t know who will fail, and so they are hoarding assets. They won’t lend to each other, let alone business. The best guess from economists is that the economy will start to improve at the end of NEXT year. And the Dow is down almost 700 points today. Businesses are going to fail; mass layoffs soon; this shit’s getting worse.

Reality: Chapter Two – No one doubts that the Democrats will gain seats in the House & Senate. They may get a supermajority in the Senate, 60 seats. Of course getting Democrats on the same page is hearding cats, so it will help to have a strong leader.

Reality – Chapter 3 – If you accept Chapters 1 & 2, then just think about what McCain-Palin means to solving the crisis. McCain believes in trickle-down, hands-off government. He will want to bail out the banks. (Read the details of his newest bailout proposal.) A lot of us think he wants to slash entitlements. Congress will want to pass legislation – that he will veto. McCain will demand the kind of budget which Congress won’t sign onto. Gridlock in a can while the nation flounders.

Opinion: There is no way you can OVERSTATE the importance of having Congress & the Administration on the same page for the next 18 months. This is not a time in our history when getting nothing done will work.

Comrad Conrad doesn’t seem to understand that with the bailouts of the big financial institutes, we’re all socialists now, except we don’t get the free medical and education benefits thingies, they just allow us to live another day.

That’s part of it – I bet Comrade Conrad has no idea what a socialist actually is.

I wish Obama was a secret Socialist. Just look at all the good and great things Bernie Sanders has done for my state of Vermont, like our low-cost dental clinic 10 miles from my house. We need more Socialists in the US Fed. It’s the lack of Socialists that has gotten us into this huge financial mess.

But, alas and alack, Obama is just another moderate Republican (meaning to the right of center), someone that’s sold out his lefty politics just to accrue more political power and advance up the ladder.

I’ll be voting for a Real Democrat in this election, and Obama ain’t it. (I can do this since my district will go heavily for Obama). Back in 2000, I voted for Nader (who I will note here is NOT a Real Democrat), again because my district was about 98% for Gore.

erinyes, I hear you. My great dread is that any harm should come to either candidate; I pray to all the Powers That May Be, every day, since the Secret Service doesn’t seem to care all that much.

If, for any reason, this election were not to go forward, I too think the remaining shell of our constitutional government would collapse. Perhaps we’d finally all meet up in some concentration camp for potential subversives. I’m sure my name’s written in blood on a list somewhere. Like the late Paul Newman, I choose to take pride in that.

So God, Yahweh, Allah, Buddha, Muhammad, Jesus, Confucius, Angel Moroni, St. John Lennon, St. Paul Newman, St. Molly Ivins, everybody, please look out for Obama’s safety and McCain’s health. Thank you and amen.

What appalls me about all of this (and it’s a real feast of sewage, hard to choose among the items) is the utter lack of courage McCain has exhibited in confronting Obama about these and other charges (I’m thinking of the stuff with Ayers). If this was such serious stuff, how come we haven’t heard a peep from the good Senator at the debates?

Answer: McCain knows it’s all horseshit, and he knows Obama would call him on it. But his bottom feeder supporters so badly want to paint Obama as evil, and McCain lets them.

Wasn’t Palin in some group that wanted Alaska out of the US?

That would be the Alaska Independence Party, or AIP. Her husband, Todd, a/k/a “First Dude,” was (and I believe still is) a card-carrying member. Their purpose is Alaska’s secession from the union.

I haven’t checked the U.S. Code, but I’ve read elsewhere that secession is treason. (Of course, I’m strongly opposed to prosecuting anyone for meeting on a regular basis to impotently discuss stupid ideas.) As for Sarah Palin’s personal involvement, she recorded a video greeting for the AIP’s 2007 convention.

Apparently, in second grade she was too busy presciently imagining the future Sen. Biden’s speeches to learn the well-known playground rhyme: “I am rubber, you are glue; it bounces off me and sticks to you.”

Intelligent discourse is too good for that horrible woman; a simple reaction of “Dumbass” completely sums her up.
