Wingnut Baiting for Fun and, Well, More Fun

The wingnuts are in a froth that anyone objected to Rush Limbaugh becoming a St. Louis Rams owner. They are genuinely upset that anyone would accuse Rush of racism. Imagine.

And I missed Countdown last night, when Keith Olbermann made Michelle Malkin a runner-up in Worst Person in the World.

Runner up, Michelle Malkin. Maybe it‘s her. When this Obama song stupidity broke in New Jersey last month, with elementary school kids there singing about the president, author Sharice Carnie Nuenez (ph) says she got an e-mail from Malkin reading, “I understand that you uploaded the video of school children reciting a Barack Obama song/rap at Bernice Young Elementary School in June. I have a few quick questions. Did you help write the song and teach it to the children? Are you an educator or guest lecturer at the school? Did you teach about your book, “I Am Barack Obama” at the school. Your bio says you‘re a schoolmate of Obama. How well acquainted are you with the president?”

That was at 6:47 in the morning. By nighttime, Malkin and the lunatic fringe had decided Carnie Nuenez was responsible for the song and whichever plot their fevered little paranoid minds saw behind it. She received death threats and hate filled voicemails, all thanks to the total mindless, morally bankrupt, knee jerk fascistic hatred, without which Michelle Malkin would just be a big mashed up bag of meat with lipstick on it.

Ms. Carnie Nuenez had nothing to do with the song. By the way, the fringe is out protesting at the school again, scaring the kids. Exactly the way that psychotic pastor protests at military funerals.

The wingnuts are not dealing well with calling Their Michelle a “big mashed up bag of meat with lipstick on it.” That’s unfair. I’ve seen her in photos a lot, and I don’t think she’s always wearing lipstick.

But, y’know, it’s gotten really easy to yank their chains these days, hasn’t it?

Well, these are certainly dark times for movement conservatism. Steele’s a buffoon. Limbaugh’s booed by pro football. Beck packs his near-hometown stadium to 1/10th capacity. Levi was right about Palin after all. Obama gets a Nobel. The Dow’s up to 10,000 despite all their anti-American booing. And they continue to proudly use the term “teabagger” oblivious to the original connotations, long after the whole Bush/Cheney/Kristol debacle.

    Yank on my friends.

  2. Wanna see some funny pics of Malkin. The post and comments are beyond rude, I can’t imagine ever using such language! But then again she does evoke some caustic emotions in people. I’m thinking of emailing MSNBC and saying enough with the Rush and Beck coverage. I think they really are hyping these guys unintentionally and helping their already over the top ratings. There is no such thing as bad publicity, especially considering the mindset of the dimwits that must watch their shows. A few seconds on worst and that’s it, enough already.

  3. Steve, Malkin’s really a ‘rage Simp!’
I’m just sorry that Rush won’t be allowed to own the Rams. It would be fun to watch his all white team (with a few black players who have no self-esteem for, you know, affirmatve action), lose game after game. That fat fucking piece of shit should face his own music, and lose as many games as humanly possible.
    Rush:
    Bad luck,
    You stupid, fat, fuck!

  4. There’s nothing the wingnuts fear worse than humor. Anger they shrug off as their righteous due, but humor at their paranoia, willful ignorance, and cynical profiteering? Oh, the inhumanity of it all!

You know, we really should resurrect the Fairness Doctrine. Not only would it be a very good thing, but it would drive the lot of loons into a feverish media dance that might leave whirling dervishes open-mouthed with envy.

  5. I can’t imagine ever using such language!

I can! Although the particular word that was used to describe Malkin would be used for a very select few females.. Malkin fits the criteria of proper usage for that vulgarity. But in keeping with civility, I think Jane Hamsher’s description of Malkin as a “Screech Monkey” is an adequate description.

I’m reminded of the ending of the Beatles movie, Yellow Submarine:

Beatle1: “Blue Meanies have been spotted near this theater!”

Beatle2: “The only way to handle this is to go out singing!!!!”

  7. The WH has gone on ofense against FOX – and the outright lies they spread. There’s a deliberate move on to press the mainstream media to fact check and call out the liars for their lies. This is a beautiful strategy.

The right wing has to either debate on the merits or risk exposure in the MSM for misinformation. The end result will be further marginalization of the GOP – the popular perception that they are tools of big business.

All we have to do is get our act together and produce progressive change – and make it popular in the mainstream. No small task.

  8. Beatle1: “Blue Meanies have been spotted near this theater!”

Beatle2: “The only way to handle this is to go out singing!!!!”

    That totally made my morning.

  9. The best line I heard about Limbaugh was from Jay Leno’s monologue. It went something like, “I know why Rush is interested in a league with 70% black players, because if he buys the team, he OWNS them”? Sometimes humor is the most truthful.

  10. Roy on Malkin:

I’m sometimes asked why I don’t talk more about Malkin here. I prefer nuts with interesting personality quirks — the Goldbergs, McArdles, Noonans, and such like. Malkin is like some dead-eyed shark looking only for the shortest distance between her mouth and her meal. Her absurdities are no less rank than theirs, but if a personality intervenes in her construction of them, I’ve yet to detect it.

    There’s something to that.
