Doesn’t he know he’s supposed to put (Snark) at the end of something like that?

You can backdate this post about 20 years, as far as I’m concerned.

I can now be the one to say I told you so, as millions suffer economically from what was wrought under “W”, that Stanley Fish is still an idiot…one who shouldn’t be teaching anyone anything.

I have this little bottle opener that helps me to remiinisce about those idyllic Bush years each and every time I open a beer, maybe 2-6 times a week. The bottle cap completes a circuit causing one of four Bush quotes to play. I get one of these:

    – Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream

    – If this were a dictatorship, it’d be a heck of a lot easier, just as long as I’m the dictator.

    – Too many OB-GYNs aren’t able to practice their love with women all across this country.

    – And, you know, it’ll take time to restore chaos and order – order out of chaos. But we will.

…and these were hardly head and shoulders above thousands more that could have been used. I am reminded almost daily of what a cognitively deficient and destructive idiot Bush was. The worst thing is that he ushered in a new bizzare era of magical thinking to the extent that people emulate his freedom not to be bothered by the facts.

Yes, he is an idiot, and he shows such reasoning skills. The entire basis for his “I was right” claim is what evidence? One billboard and a single Newsweek cover which he can reasonably be charged with misinterpreting. (I don’t think suggesting that it took years and a different man to ‘accomplish’ that misguided mission was a sign of nostalgia for Shrub, really. How could you?)

    Wow.

Of course, there are a number of supportive comments on the piece, which I can only understand by remembering that there were, after all, millions of people who voted for McCain/Palin, and one cannot expect people as dumb as stumps to gain wisdom overnight. (Perhaps ever, but you never know.)

But for the rest of the people on the planet, I think the answer to the question “Miss me yet?” is a resounding “Hell no!”

Happy days. Eight years of Bush have led to unprecedented despair, economic chaos and a ruinous (wars.) Bush (Reagan and Gingrich) turned the world’s richest, freest country into a decaying, plutocratic, militarized rogue state.

And I miss the time when I lay in bed with a raging flu because I got waited on hand and foot. Do I miss the flu or do I miss being waited on. Fish apparently wouldn’t know the difference.

Yes, well – and I can’t imagine what GWB is doing in Ireland right now.

Mr Bush. Mr. Bush. Did you know that you single handidly created a holocaust in Iraq ? Hell you displaced over five million people from their homes and not only that, you have slaughtered over amillon people. How did you know which little country to choose? Bush: Aw shucks, i ve all ways been good at killing people

Fish must be using Malkin journalism..say any stupid thing just to get a reaction from the public and then twist that reaction into a self validation of being perceived as a profound thinker.

Bush is about the biggest asshole ever to hit the American political scene. He was an experiment in political marketing that went awry . A loser of the first order who had no business being the President of the United States.. A moron, a clown, an impostor, a dim witted little preppie who brought disgrace upon our nation.

I hope he chokes on another pretzel sometime soon…and there is no way that either him or his history can ever be rehabilitated .

    jugheadjack,
It may have been a holocaust for Iraq, but here in America, it was a
    “Hell-o’-a-cost!”

    Swami,
You forgot to mention that there’s a lot of evidence out there that he’s gay. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that!”
