Five Revelations From The Edward Snowden Live Chat. Note the distinction between technical capability and policy. Of course, whatever is a technical capability will be done, somewhere, by someone. See also a voice of sanity — “Put the Spies Back Under One Roof.”

I started to write how, for the life of me, I can’t understand how we got to where we are – a country that lets private companies handle national security.
But then, I remembered that WE ARE A F*CKING STUPID NATION!

Any country that lets private companies handle its most sensitive information, has to be f*cking stupid – there is NO other explanation possible.

And now, we’re shocked – SHOCKED!!! – that a 29 year-old with a GED, has taken-off, after exposing national security “secrets.”

I wrote before about some of the possible ramifications – where companies listen in to calls from judges handling cases against that company, or legislator’s contemplating laws that might affect that company, and using that information to bribe them, influencing their decisions.

    How did we get here?

Moronic Conservatism, which, in its blind hatred of government, has the psychotic need to privatize every f*cking thing on the planet – from the military, to schools, to national security.

This is all epically f*cking stupid!!!

And it’s all the more epically f*cking stupid, because we’re paying more for having a private company do our KP duty for the military, and security for visiting politicians; and have reams of highly-paid administrators overseeing the education of our children, while paying the teachers diddly-squat; and overseeing national security – where Snowden made well over $100,000 a year, for a job that some schmuck like me, would be ecstatic to make $50,000 a year doing.

At least with having the government handling these things, there’s some accountability – at the ballot box.

And what’s to prevent a multi-national company from buying up the companies handling our national security?
What’s to prevent a company from selling the national security information that’s gathered, to another nation – like China, or Iran, or Russia?
After all, information is just another commodity. And don’t the “free market” companies want – DEMAND – the highest price they can get, for their commodities?
    Are Conservatives ok with that?

We are citizens of a nuclear-armed madhouse.
Bedlam, with hydrogen bombs and ICBM’s.
And every inmate has access to as many assault weapons, as his/her little heart desires.
    Where are the med’s?
NURSE RATCHET – WHERE ARE MY F*CKING MED’S?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
    I WANT MORE F*CKING MED’S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    MORE, STRONGER, F*CKING MED’S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
