  1. What’s new, in Texas.

Cops jump in, uninvited I presume, killing even more. Great.

Knowing Texas, innocent victims will be found to be dressed in “gang” attire and written off as such. Texas judges will hurriedly sweep counter-evidence into the garbage dump known as Texas.

    Mostly morons.

  2. Bardi, You won’t find me defending police misconduct but the implied suggestion that cops will frame ‘innocent’ bystanders is unwarranted. Cops are supposed to act on warnings of potential gang violence before it spills over into the community.

Right now the evidence I have read suggests that’s the case. Be critical in how you evaluate the facts of the case – don’t give anyone a ‘pass’ – but let’s not hang the cops with not a shred of evidence.

  3. You can see all the elements of this story thrown into the mixing bowl and scrambled in the hot Texas sun. In the “armed society equals a polite society” model, of course, the cycling aficionados would have resolved the parking dispute with a gentlemanly toss of a coin and then shared a beer or two. Somehow, things went awry.

I remember the biker scene in Florida in the 1970s. Florida was Outlaw territory back then and probably still is. It was best to avoid anyone flying colors. For the past couple of decades, it’s become fashionable for lawyers, real estate agents and IT specialists to buy a Harley and play dress up on the weekends. Hey, you have to decompress somehow. The hardcore bikers are probably still the same, making some money offering services to more organized crime. But, it seems like there are plenty of other groups who offer the same potential for violence, especially since our society seems to be becoming more confrontational and geared up for mayhem. Texas is just ahead of the curve.

So a family restaurant might have suffered if it bucked the local culture and prohibited guns. They see the potential of big bucks by promoting events for motorcycle enthusiasts, but they don’t see what they’re mixing together. The “market” said it was a win/win! Fortunately, no bystanders or policemen were hurt, but, they may have to tweak their business plan a bit.

“No one could have foreseen …”

  4. Where were the good bikers with guns?

Oh yeah, shooting at other “good” bikers with guns.

I’m sure l(DUMB)FUX “news” will be chock full of gang violence!today
You know, the BAD gang violence – which, of course, involves Nigrah yute’s.

  5. Did this have anything to do with Jade Helm 15? How come Texas never complained about Jade Helm 14 or 13 or 12………………

  6. uncledad,
    No one noticed.

It’s like, how many people died or got sick in the making of the first 408 formula’s, before they finally found “Formula 409?”

  7. According to the NRA, this wasn’t supposed to happen, i.e. when everyone is armed, then all are on their best behavior.

On the other hand, this could be seen as a feature, not a bug, of an armed society. When everyone has guns, of course, someone will feel “threatened” and then would be legally inclined to use their gun. Once that happens, others will “fear for their lives,” and hence the free for all that ensued.

The cops say they knew about the gathering before hand, which consisted of five armed gangs converging in a public place where innocent bystanders would be at risk. And yet, TX law prevented them from doing anything other than standing by.

This appears to be an expected circumstance of an armed America.

  8. Back in Florida circa 1980, I had a friend who was an ER nurse. One of the “what happened at work” stories was about a biker that she worked on. As you know they usually cut the clothes off of injured people. As they were cutting away, weapons kept falling out. He was carrying three guns and a couple of knives.
