Miss Lucy

Sorry I’m a little uncommunicative. Today my feline roomie Miss Lucy had another mastectomy. We recently passed the one-year anniversary of her first mastectomy with no sign of recurring cancer, but then I felt some tiny little lumps, so I took her to the vet yesterday. The vet called awhile ago to say the surgery went well.

Anyway, I’ve been sitting here most of the afternoon trying to compose a post and not getting anywhere. I think I need a break.

  2. I am sorry to hear about Miss Lucy. I went through this with my dear departed Lydia. Someone sent me the following and it made me feel better:

“We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan.”
    –Irving Townsend

    Good Luck!

  3. So sorry to hear of Miss Lucy’s relapse…

Ol’ Baby the Cat cashed ’em in last week…Neighbor found him dead in her yard…He was 11-12 years old and had him self a good time, mostly…Don’t think he everv won a fight…But I’m sure he got his licks in…

Living with cats – which I never did til I was past 40 – hs taught me a lot…And from a total of four cats…(Of course, the Bulldogs hold up their end of this deal)…

We all hope Miss Lucy recovers quickly and resumes her routine…

  4. Please accept my best wishes for Lucy’s speedy recovery. For what it’s worth, I’m sure my four resident fur-balls wish the same.
