I had a VERY long commute today, which allows my brain to run free. My small voice tells me that while everyone is so stuck on the Foly Follies, the insane carnage in Iraq goes on unabated, yet our fellow citizens are completely freaked out over sex as opposed to whole scale slaughter. This is some crazy shit.(although the repub congress needs a serious ass kicking)
I realize there has been a cosmic shift in the media. The “old guard” ofRather, Browkaw, and Cronkite has been replaced with bobble-heads ( with the exception of Olbermann).
The young friend of mine I wrote about several months ago has returned from Army boot camp. He is in the Army reserves, but his unit will go on a training deal next month, I’m VERY concerned that he’ll be shipped to Iraq. The boy has all the grace of a great dane pup, Iraq is no place for him.
