New Design

As you can see, the Mahablog is now all new and shiny. I’m still working out the kinks, so have some patience while I iron it all out. Now back to your regularly scheduled blogging.

  1. I still can’t get over how much that icon looks like me…
Were the icons hand-picked, or were they random?

  2. I love the new masthead, very classy! So in keeping with that, I’ve adopted a more appropriate gravatar (if I did it right).

I did find this noon that I couldn’t post a comment from work, where we are forced to use Internet Explorer. The “Submit Comment” button wasn’t enabled.

    So… carry on.

  3. OK, niiiice, except I don’t like my randomly generated icon holding its breath till it turns purple and sticking its tongue out at you. Please don’t take offense at that.

  4. gravatar.com didn’t change to the new image as instructed, so it looks like maybe The Brain rules the world after all.

  5. Erin, You’ve done a nice job on designing the website. I like the color… it’s soft and tranquil like my personality. Thumbs up on a good job.

  6. Maha picked out the scheme, I just customized and yelled at the code for a while. Things might be a little wacky for the next couple of days while we find all my errors. 🙂

  7. I think I have successfully added a preview function. Hm, it doesn’t seem to work. Well, I’ll leave it there until tomorrow until I figure out why it’s not working.

  8. I realize I’m fighting a rearguard action on the web, but there is a reason that all of those newspapers are printed in Times Roman. Serif fonts are easier to read (and improve retention).

Note to communicators: Because serifs define individual letters more sharply and make them easier to recognize, serif fonts are generally easier to read than non-serif fonts. (Indeed, research indicates that most readers can read a message in a serif font more quickly–and with greater comprehension and retention–than they can read the same message in a non-serif format.)”

  9. It looks nice. On nit to pick, though I realize I’m fighting a rearguard action on the web, but there is a reason that all of those newspapers are printed in Times Roman. Serif fonts are easier to read.

  10. I’m not to happy about the gravatars. Seems the only way I can change the stupid looking icon they stuck me with is to change my screen name. I like being Swami…it’s more than a name..it’s who I am.. I was Swami before swami became fashionable. I guess I’ll have to file a lawsuit against wordpress for emotional damages. Yeah, severe mental anguish!

  11. I want to see mine too. Love the new look, like they said, softer to go with the content. (HAHA) But really I like the contrast!!!!
