Noted in Passing

The Rapture was yesterday. So far, nobody has turned up missing.

Stupid is as stupid does:

Presidential son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner has corresponded with other administration officials about White House matters through a private email account set up during the transition last December, part of a larger pattern of Trump administration aides using personal email accounts for government business.

Kushner uses his private account alongside his official White House email account, sometimes trading emails with senior White House officials, outside advisers and others about media coverage, event planning and other subjects, according to four people familiar with the correspondence. POLITICO has seen and verified about two dozen emails.

Some people don’t like to do what they’re told.

NFL players used the national anthem to show their defiance to President Donald Trump’s criticism, with at least 100 players kneeling or sitting in protest and one team staying in the locker room.

Most teams in the early afternoon games locked arms in solidarity. At least three team owners joined their players.

If Colin Kaepernick gets an NFL job soon, he should send Trump a thank you card.

It looks like Angela Merkel has been elected to a fourth term.

It looks like there are three definite Republican nos on the new atrocity health care bill, McCain, Paul, and now Cruz. And Susan Collins sounds like a no to me, too.

  1. “Our heritage” and “those people.” KKK born and bred. His grandfather was a pimp and his father was a slum lord. His crowd in Alabama ate it up. He comes from a long line of pieces of shit.

  2. When is the next rapture scheduled to take place? I think I might be on the short list for that one.
What’s green and crawls in the grass?… A raptured leprechaun! No, a ruptured leprechaun.

Tomorrow ( today) Anthony Wiener ( AKA Carlos Danger) gets sentenced.. I guess he wasn’t kidding when he added the surname of Danger to his moniker. He was definitely flirting with danger. It’s hard to understand how somebody can fuck their life up so badly.

  3. paradoctor,
    SATSQ:
The people who believe that they’re superior and were awaiting The Lord’s arrival, will continue to believe that.
It’s just that Satan’s onio… sorry… minions – AKA: We EEEEEEEKEEEEEEEBIL libtards!!! – tricked them, and they need to recalibrate a new date
    Rinse ‘n repeat………….

  4. Would someone explain what is the problem we have with treating Puerto Rico as part of the United States.  The United Kingdom was the subject of much international criticism when it was slow in extending aid to it’s possessions in the Caribbean.  The French, it seems, had a more prompt and efficient response toward their islands.  When 80% of your crops have been destroyed, and the power system is perhaps as much as decimated, we might need to extend competent assistance.  I know the problem with those athletes disrespecting flags and rituals is HUGE but, respect for our responsibilities to our fellow Americans is a much bigger HUGE.  Is that responsibility not the basis and moral foundation for our rituals and patriotic symbols?  Is it not a bit insane to worry about ornamentation when the foundation is crumbling?

  5. Trump is picking on the NFL. Who is next? Why is the national anthem played at sports anyway? I am a simple person and I like simple solutions. Just stop playing the anthem at sports events and nobody can complain about paying respect to the flag, etc.
As to Trump and Kim Jong Un, two adolescents engaging in penis waving, can we just arrange a duel and let them solve their dispute that way?
Trump has no understanding of other cultures than his own. What I know about Asians is that honor and respect is big with them. So no matter what the US thinks of them, it should not be said out loud. They must save face. Of course, this should be true in relating to all humans and cultures. I am beginning to get really worried. All Trump wants to do is fight and win. By the way, how do we know if we are winning? How Congress can allow him to continue as President is beyond me. I know there is an amendment that the president can be removed if he is considered unfit for the office. How far can we allow Trump to do his thing and put the country in danger of war? Not to mention all the innocent people in S. Korea and Japan?
Also, as to respecting the flag, I remember one incident in which the anthem was playing and Trump was just standing there. Melania had to nudge him to get him to put his hand over his heart. Or at least on his body where his heart is supposed to be. It does not take a psychiatrist or psychologist to recognize this man is a sick puppy. I would not dare to travel overseas right now, I am so embarrassed and ashamed of the president.

  6. Swami,

It’s a bit of a fog but I do seem to remember a large Blackman with a long white beard reading from a few blog comments I’ve written over the years? Something about making fun of the sky-wizard?
