  1. I believe there is some confusion between “shrill” and “almost awake, finally”.

    • I believe there is some confusion between “shrill” and “almost awake, finally”.

In current blogosphere parlance, the terms are synonymous.

  2. I just wish all major networks and cable news would have newspeople all saying the same thing. But, the rest will stay in their hammocks and act shocked that any of their own would be so shrill.

  3. Jeez, only 11 11/2 years after Bush v.Gore, E.J., and some other columnists, are finally starting to realize that some members of the SCOTUS appear to be making decisions less on “Stare Decisis,” and more on politics.
After 40+ years of R’s packing the courts with ever more Conservative ideologues, and the D’s only able to get relative moderates, on the Federal Courts in general, and the SC specifically, the MSM has yet to really catch on to the fact that the courts are rigged – with reactionary Nihilists, and Corporatists.
Our courts are a completely ‘Liberal-free Zone.’
    Here’s an acronym for you:

    R-oberts

    STARK RATS – Coincidence?
    I think not.

T-minus 4 hours until, one way or the other, the poo-poo hits the ventilator.
Either the D’s or the R’s will be screaming.
My money’s on it being the D’s.
I think the RATS will be STARK.

    • In the past few hours I’ve seen a number of analysts predict that SCOTUS will leave the ACA alone, and that Roberts will vote with Breyer, Ginsburg, Kagan, and Sotomayor, and write the majority opinion. They think he will do this because (a) he doesn’t want to live in history as the chief justice who sold out the court to politics; and (b) if he writes the majority opinion, he can write it as narrowly as possible. We’ll see.

  4. maha,
If ACA passes, and Roberts writes a narrow decision for it, I’ll look forward to Scalia’s and Alito’s rants.
They may be sh*tty SC Justices, but they write great scaredy-pants Conservative-Cheeto-eatin’-Mountain-Dew-gluggin’-blogger-in-Mama’s-basement opinions. And wait for Clarence Thomas to show them where to find the really good p*rn-sites.
