  1. Yes, I just read about it in between football games. I really liked him. I thought he was very eloquent.

  2. I’d like to give Mario a better send-off than I did earlier.

I have always loved Mario Cuomo.

From the first time I heard that this NY politician was a Minor League Baseball player – and I’m a Baseball junkie – to his ‘Hamlet on the Hudson” days, when he wasn’t certain about announcing his candidacy for President, until the his passing, I have always love Mario Cuomo.

And while everyone in the Democratic Party was running away from not just liberal thought, but the very term “Liberal” itself, Mario always openly clothed himself in liberalism!

He proudly wore a union suit!

And so, another liberal lion of my youth is gone.
Too bad his son isn’t half the man his father was.
    But, who is?

    RIP Mario Cuomo.
The Heavenly choir just added a strong and eloquent liberal voice!!!

  3. It’s sad about Donna Douglas..It gives me an awareness that I’m picking up speed as I approach the finish line.
I liked Donna Douglas’ father Paul Douglas as an actor when I was a kid.
I think Jethro is the only one of the original Clampett clan who is still around.
