Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Failing Memories

Marjorie Taylor Greene spent a large part of Friday testifying in a Georgia courtroom that she doesn’t remember anything. For example:

Now, if I had advised the President of the United States to impose martial law I believe I would remember I had done so. But perhaps Greene’s memories have been scrambled by Jewish space lasers.

Today CNN published  2,319 text messages sent and received by Trump’s White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. And lo, Greene had emailed Meadows on the martial law idea.

The records showed that Greene texted Meadows on Jan. 17, 11 days after Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, to raise the question of whether Trump might invoke martial law.

“In our private chat with only Members, several are saying the only way to save our Republic is for Trump to call for Marshall [sic] law. I don’t know on those things. I just wanted you to tell him,” Greene wrote. “They stole this election. We all know. They will destroy our country next. Please tell him to declassify as much as possible so we can go after Biden and anyone else!”

It was unclear whether Meadows responded to her message.

So she didn’t “advocate” directly to Trump to impose martial law; she “advocated” to his chief of staff. Whether this will have an impact on the outcome of the Georgia trial I do not know. Some of Greene’s constituents are trying to keep her off the ballot by citing Section 3 of the 14th Amendment —

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Well, yeah, she pretty much did. I understand the challenge to her eligibility is a long shot, though.

  1. As far as regarding either IQ or EQ, I think Sen. Feinstien would easily beat MTG.

DiFi has forgotten more than MTG ever knew.

    • DiFi has forgotten more than MTG ever knew.

Therein lies the problem with DiFi.  She now has conversations where she repeats herself over and over again because she doesn't remember what she said 3 minutes earlier.  It is called dementia.

Not to worry though.  As long as DiFi can be told which button to push for votes, she will remain in the senate protecting her family's wealth that she has voted astutely over the years to create.

  2. If the founding fathers could have envisioned their work would lead to the election of the likes of Marjori Taylor Green, they would have abandoned their task and asked begged the British Monarchy to accept us back as a colony.

  3. It is a sad comment on our institutions that Congress will not vote to tell Ms. Greene "If you have that much trouble with your memory you've got no business here so go home."

  4. The burden of proof is (and should be) to prove that MTG did aid and abet in the coup attempt. It's an uphill climb because the insurrection wasn't mentioned as such in criminal indictments for almost a year after J6. MTG's support hasn't been suggested in any criminal case. Proof of her support is only in her tweets and quotes of her support. If the judge finds that her evasive responses are an indication of her loyalties to the coup participants, she's toast. More likely, the judge will determine that an absolute link was not proven (because Green lied on the stand.)

  5. It turns my stomach to watch such a smug and vile creature as MTG. She beams with self satifaction in thinking she's just to clever to get caught in her lies and deceits but, through my eyes all I see in her is a gross failure of virtue and character. In New York street venacular she would be aptly described being a fuckin' mess. Just bad news! She's the bottom rung on the ladder of decency.

Off topic… Here's something I ran across that I found touching that speaks to the spirit about understanding a persons heart. President Volodymyr Zelensky & Wife Olena Zelenska Singing 'Endless Love' – YouTube. I mean, just try to visualize the same spirit coming from, say…Donald & Melania, or perhaps Newt & Callista, or maybe even Clarence & Ginni? It's sorta like seeing the difference between a spirit that gives and cares, and is selfless as opposed to a spirit that only takes and is consumed with greed and selfisnness.

  6. Hey, Jim. Thanks for setting me straight about the video I thought was Zelenski. I'm a bit embarassed for being taken in by whoever titled that video and lead me to become a pedaler of fake news. My apologies to all you Maha-bloggers. I'll do better next time.

Just a note of no consequence… I recently found out that for the last two years I've been sleeping on a My Pillow, unaware that I inadvertently have been giving aid and comfort to the enemy. I should pay more attention to the things my wife tells me.
