  1. There's much to be grateful for, even in these dark times. My "neighbors" in this country have rallied to meet the moment in so many ways. When activists have been arrested and charged, grand juries have thrown out the case(s) repeatedly. A grand jury is as random a group as you can get, probably with zero activists. And they aren't buying.

Attempts to take down people on Trump's enemies list have failed. Jack Smith is calling for his testimony behind closed doors in Congress be released. The most recent act of media self-censorship failed, to the degree that the 60-minutes piece eas leaked and released through Canadian TV, and is on the Internet.  Miller is livid – I see that as a measure of the success of the piece.

The conflict of government for the people vs government for the fascists may be moving the Overton window of what's possible for progressives, if fascism is defeated. The more awful the next three years are for working people, the more certain I am that the window will shift further left. (My opinion is based on how three years of the Great Depression under Republicans changed voter attitudes to be receptive to 'socialism.'  When I went to Elementary and HS in the 60s, the virtue of FDRs programs were gospel in a Catholic school.  Not extreme.

I have great hope for the future, largely due to my faith in the folks here on Mahablog. I'm not alone in my vision and desire for a just society, It's not only in the law that I pray for justice but in the division of wealth to reward the common man.

Be of good cheer, my friends.
